Hitaji’s girls’ STEM mentorship and education scholarships program has a strong focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This program also supports vulnerable girls to complete high school, while providing mentorship in both general life skills. Young girls from poor families in Migori County, Kenya, face multifaceted challenges that hinder their well-being and academic success. This program addresses the need for attaining a secondary school education. A special emphasis is on providing education scholarships along with intensive mentorship to vulnerable girl-children.
Through scholarships and mentorship, Hitaji helps vulnerable girls remain in school, improve academic performance, and gain the confidence and skills needed to pursue higher education and future careers.
